Evidence-based assessment and management from our ESSA-accredited exercise physiologists and AHPRA-registered physiotherapists — supporting women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery, perimenopause and beyond.
What We Offer
Our AHPRA-registered physiotherapists and ESSA-accredited exercise physiologists provide evidence-based assessment and management across a broad range of women’s health presentations. Outcomes vary between patients.
Our practitioners are AHPRA-registered physiotherapists or ESSA-accredited exercise physiologists. Assessment and management outcomes vary between patients. We will discuss realistic expectations at your first appointment.
Our Approach
Women’s health spans decades of physiological change. Our exercise physiologists and physiotherapists work together — combining clinical assessment, evidence-based exercise prescription and manual therapy — to provide coordinated, respectful care at every stage.
A detailed history and physical assessment taking into account your life stage, reproductive history, activity levels and health goals. Conducted respectfully and with appropriate sensitivity.
Our exercise physiologists design structured, progressive programmes tailored to your presentation and stage of life. Our physiotherapists address musculoskeletal complaints using modified techniques appropriate to your clinical situation.
We work alongside your GP, obstetrician, gynaecologist or specialist where appropriate. Our aim is a sustainable, long-term approach to your musculoskeletal and metabolic health — not just short-term symptom management.
Common Questions
Physiotherapy is generally considered safe during pregnancy when performed by a practitioner with appropriate training in pregnancy care. Treatment techniques are modified throughout all trimesters. Discuss any concerns with your GP or obstetrician before commencing care.
Timing depends on your birth type, recovery and clinical presentation. General guidance suggests an initial assessment from 6–8 weeks for vaginal births and 8–12 weeks for caesarean sections — however this varies. Your exercise physiologist will work within your GP’s advice and your individual recovery.
Structured exercise — particularly resistance training and weight-bearing activity — is associated with improvements in bone density, body composition, cardiovascular health and mood during perimenopause and menopause. Our ESSA-accredited exercise physiologists design programmes specific to your health status and goals. Outcomes vary between individuals.
No referral is needed for physiotherapy or private exercise physiology appointments. Medicare CDM referrals from your GP are accepted for exercise physiology, as are NDIS plans and WorkCover claims.
