Our Approach
Our assessment goes beyond the site of pain — we aim to understand the clinical picture, including contributing biomechanical and load factors. Management is evidence-based and structured around your specific presentation and return-to-sport goals.
Comprehensive clinical assessment including sport-specific functional testing, movement analysis and imaging review where indicated.
May include spinal and peripheral joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, dry needling and taping — tailored to your presentation.
Structured progressive loading programme with sport-specific milestones — guiding you through criteria-based return-to-sport progression.
Common Questions
Do I need a referral to see a sports chiropractor?
No. You can book directly with our sports chiropractors without a GP referral. We accept private health insurance, WorkCover and NDIS.
How quickly can I return to sport after a chiropractic treatment?
This depends entirely on your injury. Mild muscle strains may allow return within days. More significant injuries require structured progressive loading over weeks or months. Your chiropractor will give you clear milestones at your first appointment.
What is the difference between a sports chiropractor and a regular chiropractor?
Sports chiropractors complete additional training in sports-specific assessment, biomechanics and return-to-sport protocols. They understand the demands of specific sports and can tailor treatment accordingly.
Can chiropractic treatment improve athletic performance even without an injury?
Yes. Regular sports chiropractic care improves joint mobility, neuromuscular coordination and biomechanical efficiency — all of which contribute to better performance and reduced injury risk.
Do you treat all sports?
Yes. We treat athletes from all sports including AFL, rugby, soccer, basketball, swimming, cycling, running, CrossFit, martial arts and many others.
Is sports chiropractic covered by private health insurance?
Yes. Sports chiropractic is covered under most private health extras policies. We have HICAPS on-site for immediate claiming at your appointment.
